10 Tips for Kids

  1. GFK - characterDon’t talk while someone else is hitting.

  2. Only use your driver when you tee off, not from the fairway.

  3. Only use you putter on the green.

  4. Don’t take a full swing with your putter (keep the head of the putter below the knee).

  5. If you take a divot (chunk of grass), put it back to help the grass grow back.

  6. Don’t get upset if you hit a bad shot, just have fun!

  7. When holding the club, always point your thumbs down at the ball.

  9. Play – play – play (video games, driving range, mini putt, golf course or back yard).

  10. Encourage young children to watch some golf on T.V. with family or friends.  They will see good swings and learn terms, scoring and basic etiquette.
